Heiner Wilmer SCJ, Dr. theol., born 1961, ordained priest in 1987, 1993-2007 teacher, school chaplain, headmaster, including some time in the Bronx in New York; since 2007 Provincial of the Sacred Heart Priests in Germany. From 2015-2018 he was religious general of the leaders of the Sacred Heart priests (Dehonians) worldwide, before being appointed Bishop of Hildesheim in 2018.
